Our Mom, Florence Vance, was a lifelong homemaker, after working at the Jefferson Proving Ground, and a loving wife, mom and grandma. She was a mom to eight children, 2 boys and 6 girls. She loved spending time with her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was the glue to our family after our Dad passed. The most important thing was, she always tried to make sure we all had what we needed, not necessarily what we all wanted.

Even when she was diagnosed with dementia/Alzheimer’s she felt like she was being a burden to her children. All of her children would tell her “Mom you took care of us for 18+ years it was time for us to take care of you”. However, that did not settle with her because, like always, she was still trying to be strong for her children all while the terrible disease was taking over her body.

She loved all her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and they all loved her too. She is deeply missed by all of us each and every day.
